White Rose Team Score Race

Once again, White Rose Weekend will feature a Team score event on Monday 27th August.

On courses A, B and C, all three members of the team will start at the same time and will decide who will visit which controls – plus a compulsory spine of 4 to 6 controls to be visited by everybody. The objective being to collect the maximum number of points between the three members of the team within a defined period of time. There will be three senior courses (A, B and C) and a junior course (D).

In course D, for the youngest juniors, the three runners will all start together, but there will be defined cross-country courses for each runner rather than a score competition.

Class A – Open; 120+; All W; at least 1 W; Ad Hoc
Class B – 120+ all W; 160+; Family (2 parents)
Class C - 48-; 48- all W; Family (1 parent)
Class D – M/W12-

The planning emphasis of the team score will be fun, short but technical with teams of top competitors being easily able to visit all controls within the time limit.  We would like this to be a challenging but not over-physical end to the foot-O activities for the weekend.

Courses will be available for entrants of all abilities – particularly youngsters – course D will be planned to yellow standard.

Details of how to enter for the White Rose Team Score Race are available here.
